Despite the challenges of 2020 The Ifakara Bakery Project has experienced success and growth in unexpected ways thanks to the continued and unwavering support of all the donors and volunteers.

2019 has seen us reach a new level of achievement. We measure success in loaves of bread and this year, the bakery has produced 126,700 loaves. This is the highest figure for the Free Bread Funds. The increase was only made possible thanks to the support we receive from the donors.

Throughout this year we have been supported by many which enabled us to reach our target for 120,000 Loaves of Bread and over 80% of these loaves will have reached children from 3 to 7 years old.

We are glad to share with you the good news that we reached our target this year. This was only made possible thanks to the steadfast support we receive from individuals who have followed our progress for many years. During this year we also benefited from the generous reactions we received from giving talks to many groups, organisations, schools, societies and Churches. The Sisters who are responsible for the running of the bakery did not have to increase the bread prices and we raised £30,000.

Throughout this year, we have been supported by many groups, organisations, clubs, schools, societies, churches and Individuals by giving over 100 talks and with the help of many standing orders we have again been able to fund 120, 000 loaves of bread.
